How it works
1. Open Captain Cut from the Extensions menu with your sequence active.
- Scan. The engine analyzes your audio on your GPU — hours of footage map in seconds. Each audio track is analyzed independently, so a guest laughing on track 2 won't get cut just because track 1 went quiet.
- Tune. You control sensitivity and padding: how long a pause counts as "silence," and how much breathing room stays around each cut so speech never sounds clipped.
- Review & apply. Every detected region is visible before anything happens. Click Apply and the cuts land across all tracks in sync — video, audio, linked clips, everything.
Your original timeline is always safe: cuts are ordinary Premiere edits, and a single undo rolls the whole operation back.
